ISTANBUL CONNECTION ANNOUNCED

According to local newspaper "Rodiaki", Bluebird Airways will connect Rhodes to Istanbul twice per week, on Mondays and Thursdays. Same source reports that the route will be IST-RHO-HER-IST so we need to clarify if Rhodes is going to have a direct flight both ways, which of two Istanbul's airports will be served and if it will be open to individual bookings.

CORENDON AIRLINES @ RHO

Dutch-turkish leisure carrier Corendon will fly from Amsterdam twice per week, starting end of April and concluding end of Ocotber. Corendon previously operated only chartered flights to Rhodes so we hope that Amsterdam will be followed by more scheduled routes eventually.


ALITALIA @ RHO

Italian legacy carrier is re-establishing scheduled seasonal flights to Rhodes as it announced a direct route from Rome-Fiumicino. The route will be valid only for August and will be flown twice/week on weekends.


BUDAPEST-RHODES CONNECTION RE-ESTABLISHED

Malev's last week dissolvement affected among other their announced Budapest-Rhodes summer route. Ryanair and Wizz Air, primarily, immediately announced new routes from Budapest as the gap that Malev left is more than tempting so Rhodes will be connected to Budapest twice per week with Ryan and Wizz offering a weekly flight. TOR AIR RHODES ROUTES IN DOUBT?

In a routine check of ours on Tor Air's website for update purposes it was discovered that Rhodes is not listed any more on the booking engine. Rhodes would have been connected to London-Gatwick and Birmingham. There is no announcement yet by the airline but given that they faced trouble last December we are curious if Rhodes flights will comeback. Tor Air's blog page has been updated and until further notice their schedule is considered void.
