Since we received some inquiries on bus routes and taxi prices we think its a good idea to refer to the ground transportation available at Diagoras Airport.
BUSES
The airport is served by RODA, one of the two local bus companies, with a route to the city central bus station via the west coast avenue. The current route is not an express one (which is expected later this season) so it makes various stops (Kremasti, Ialyssos, Ixia some of them).
The airport bus stop is situated on the middle between the old and the new terminal, exactly in front of a small outdoor coffee shop. (

The city central bus stop is situated on Averof Street, on the back side of the Nea Agora (New Market) landmark building. From there, you can switch to buses heading to the East Coast (Faliraki, Kolympia, Lindos would be some of the east coast destinations), you can go around the building and reach the city buses stop for routes within the city or you can reach on foot (less than 5 minutes) the central taxi rank. Below you can find the bus schedule for the Airport-City route and vice versa. The ticket costs € 2.10-2.30 and can be purchased from the bus driver upon embarkment or from dedicated kiosks at the central bus stations. The ride to/from the airport should last 30-45 minutes depending on traffic.

TAXIS
Airport taxi rank is situated opposite the arrivals hall exit (
view map). Prices are fixed depending on your destination and are posted on a large board at the beginning of the rank.
Please note that for airport routes an extra charge of € 2.50 applies as well as a fee of € 0.37 for baggage weighing more than 10kgs.
