Aegean, you can do better than that!

Here are some last night (Thursday) screensavers on the availabilty of Rhodes to Athens for the next days, clearly there's a problem with offered capacity while prices can't be ignored as well.










































Of all these 20 flights, only one was scheduled with A321, Aegean's largest bus, rest were on A320. We clearly understand that the route the other way around, Athens to Rhodes, may have not so much demand at this time of the season, but the airline can clearly create demand for filling largest planes or extra flights by offering more attractive fares. Whole situation makes us wonder if they actually are inviting Ryanair to add even more flights.

Aegean, you can do better than that, way better :)

Rhodes airport fully reopens tomorrow 26/9

As you may alrady know, Rhodes airport is operating with shorter runway due to damage from the extensive rainfalls. Airport authority a while ago announced that runway is being repaired and by tomorrow morning it will be fully operational.

Rhodes-Kastelorizo returns

That was quick. Though we lack any official announcement, we learned  that airport has reopened and verified this as Olympic/Aegean have made the route available for bookings. It appears that airport's fire engine was damaged, thankfully a repair crew was dispatched with helicopter from Rhodes and problem got solved.

Rhodes airport closed, AGAIN!!!

 UPDATE
Airport has reopened a while ago. Further delays and cancellations are expected though. Stay updated with our facebook and twitter accounts.

ALERT!!!

 As of 11am Diagoras Airport of Rhodes is closed as the hole on the runway is back. Follow our facebook and twitter pages to stay updated.

Rhodes-Kastelorizo suspended

Aegean/Olympic Air announced earlier today the temporary suspension of Rhodes-Kastelorizo service due to damages occured at Kastelorizo airport from severe weather conditions. We hope restorations will take place asap.

Airport closed!!!

Airport has re-opened since 8am local, Wednesday. Situation will become normal gradually.

As of tonight, 22 September 20:00pm, Rhodes International Airport is shut down due to damage caused on the runway by heavy rain. 

 According to Rodiaki local press repair crews are already working on site and it is hoped that by Wednesday morning airport can reopen.

Aegean Airlines Routes - Winter 2015/16

Unpleasant surprise from Aegean as they are decreasing their winter flights to Athens compared to last winter by up to 5 weekly flights. On Mondays especially there's a weird schedule with two morning flights from Rhodes and then none till Tuesday morning. Other than that, Thessaloniki will have six weekly flights with three of them connecting to Munich while PSO routes return to winter reduced services.
