Aegean today released passenger traffic for 2015 and we must admit they are doing a great job given the circumstances under which they operate. Aegean carried a total of 11.650.374 passengers, an increase of 15% compared to 2014.
Rhodes holds a significant share of this traffic as Aegean carried 887.999 passengers, an increase of 9.3%. International traffic increased by 16.8% to 270,647, an impressive number given that Rhodes inbound traffic stagnated. Aegean served 15 scheduled and numerous charters around Europe and the middle east.
For 2016 Aegean plans scheduled services to almost 20 destinations and If they keep these increasing rates then we expect them to pass 300.000 international assengers and touch 1.000.000 overall traffic.
Bravo Aegean :)
